An illustration for a silk scarf collection commissioned by FOLKSIGHT, a designer scarf brand. Their main focus is on fashion and lifestyle products that have storytelling elements coming from Vietnamese heritage.

Bauhinia - the symbolic flower of northwest Vietnam, has appeared in many poetic and meaningful literary works written about the Thai ethnic group of Vietnam. The white ban flower is a symbol of the purity and innocence of Thai women, as well as a symbol of the faithful love of Ban and Khum in a legendary love story - Vietnam's Romeo and Juliet.

When the flower season begins to bloom, it is also the beginning of the biggest festival of the year for the Thai minority group. In this event, young men and women of the Thai have the opportunity to meet up and exchange feelings for each other. In this illustration, the Thai women, seen as "gentle bauhinia petals, wake up fresh in the morning, while the male enthusiasts dance and sing to celebrate the blossoming season, as well as to attract the attention of the ladies, who are very shy behind the branches.
